effective october 27, 2026. these terms cover your use of the Butler Compute website and inference API, including requests that reach us through a marketplace such as OpenRouter. using either means you accept them.
the service
we serve open-weight models through APIs compatible with OpenAI chat completions and responses, Anthropic messages, and OpenRouter decisions. models, prices and limits are published on our website and by the marketplaces that list us, and may change. we may change or retire a model at any time.
keys and fees
keep your API key secret; you’re responsible for all use of it. usage is billed per token at the listed prices. if you reach us through a marketplace, it bills you under its own terms.
your content
your prompts and completions are yours. we process them only to answer the request, never log or store them, and never train on them.
acceptable use
don’t use the service to break the law, harm others, attack our systems, get around rate limits, or resell access without our agreement. follow each model’s license. we may suspend access that breaks these rules.
output
model output can be wrong. check it before relying on it, especially for medical, legal or financial decisions.
liability
the service is provided “as is,” without warranties. to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
